This North Star Gatherings wedding was a romantic day that was a long time in the making. Kim and Rich had initially planned their wedding for June 2021 but with Rich’s family being from the UK and COVID restrictions, they had to postpone the wedding to October 2021 and then again to June 2022. Plus Kim and Rich live in New York City, so they were planning the wedding out of state. Everything finally worked out and I’m so glad we got to make this special day happen!
Romantic Details of the North Star Gatherings Wedding
Kim and Rich wanted a romantic feel to their North Star Gatherings wedding. Kim chose a classic lace fit and flare gown with a deep v-neck, spaghetti straps, and a low cut back. She carried a lush bouquet of white and pale pink peonies that emphasized the romance of the day. The bridesmaids carried bouquets filled with pink and white flowers that popped against their gray dresses. Since Rich is from the UK, he chose morning suits for the groom and groomsmen attire which looked extremely dapper.
Outdoor Colorado Wedding Ceremony
Kim and Rich wanted a classic Colorado mountain wedding, so they chose North Star Gatherings for the venue. The venue is a beautiful modern lodge that has amazing views of the mountains and is in a secluded location. It’s under an hour drive from Denver, plus the North Star Gatherings team is so great to work with, so it made planning Kim and Rich’s day a breeze.
The couple exchanged vows on the venue’s deck overlooking the mountains. The ceremony was held in front of a gorgeous triangle arch adorned with pale pink and white roses and peonies. White rose petals were scattered on the floor to add a touch of romance to the ceremony. Afterwards, Kim and Rich snuck away to have a few moments to themselves and take photos amongst the breathtaking views.
Dreamy Reception
The reception was held in the great hall which is lined with windows that allowed guests to see the mountains from every direction. We also utilized the deck to take advantage of the views and added a lounge set for guests to enjoy throughout the night. To emphasize the romance of the day, the tables were filled white candles and low pink and white florals to allow for intimate conversations. Other special details included the pale pink ranunculus that dotted the two tier semi naked cake and the table numbers which were pictures of the couple from some of their travel adventures. The night was capped off with a full dance floor and late night snacks. We had so much fun planning Kim and Rich’s day!
