Their Colorado mountain wedding venue, North Star Gatherings, was the perfect place to host this playful wedding and we are so glad we got to be a part of it!

How They Met

Rielee and Mitchell are from the same small town in Ohio. Growing up, their siblings played soccer together, so their families knew each other well. Their paths crossed again later in life and they hit it off. They both share a love for the Buffalo Bills and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and traveling, so it seemed like fate brought them back together! Along with wedding planning, Rielee was also moving AND going to school so we were so impressed with how she managed to juggle everything!

Choosing Their Photographer

Rielee and Mitchell’s love for life and adventure was perfectly captured by the talented photography duo, Bri and Andy of The Coys Photography. Close friends of the couple, Bri and Andy expertly captured every moment of the day perfectly, starting with getting ready. Rielee got ready in the wedding loft while Mitchell got ready in the polaris geodome. Rielee wore a gorgeous A-line ballgown with the prettiest illusion detail on the back. She carried a hand tied bouquet full of colorful flowers that perfectly matched the wilderness around the Colorado mountain wedding venue. Mitchell wore a light gray suit with a bowtie that added a playful touch and complemented Rielee’s dress.

First Look with Private Vow Exchange

The couple opted for a private first look at the overlook of their Colorado mountain wedding venue. In order to have a special moment between the two of them, Rielee and Mitchell opted to exchange private vows after their first look. The way these two looked at each other was truly magical and their love for each other is evident in these photos. They were playful, loving, and intentional and were such a joy to work with!

Ceremony at Colorado Mountain Wedding Venue

The ceremony deck at North Star Gatherings provided the most idyllic setting for Rielee and Mitchell’s celebration of love. With their closest family and friends looking on, the couple exchanged vows amidst the stunning panoramic views. In breaking from tradition, Mitch’s sister was his “best woman”, so we loved getting to see her be a witness to their love.

Colorful Summer Wedding Reception

For the reception at their Colorado mountain wedding venue, the couple wanted a lighthearted, playful feel. They chose light blue runners for the farmhouse tables and paired those with white taper candles and mixed florals in thin vases to create an eclectic, yet polished, look. For dinner, the couple served pizza and s’mores from Mountain Crust. They even put on aprons and helped make the pizza!

Private Sunset Dance

After dinner, Rielee and Mitchell snuck away for some golden hour photos. They even shared a private dance while enjoying the sunset amongst the stunning panoramic views. It was the perfect moment for them to step away and soak it all in. After that, they joined their guests at the reception for an all night dance party. It was a fun reception and there may have even been a few broken glasses on the dance floor!
